Hi Folks,

This is a large 5 pointed star shaped map with 127 stars!  I've played it a couple of time and it does present a challenge.   Be prepared to spend 2 hours if you have your opponents set to Highest.  Also don't forget to guard your backside, the AI will try to take your starting planets if you let it.  Enjoy!  Grin

That is a big map. Shocked  Definitely looks like there's scope for some epic battles in here. I haven't had time to finish it yet; my saved game is marked for later.

Any plans for a medium-sized version?

I played a complete game here with natives turned off.  Unfortuanetly that setting doesn't present much of a challenge, I just hate fighting them.  I like the map, but expanded so much faster than the AI, that I can't say much about stragety (I controlled over half the map before the first fight took place, and yes this is on the highest AI.).  Pinnacle seems kinda pointless in placement.  I like using low production planets as a basis for attacks, but if you place anything there, your just going to get destroyed by whoever owns the big planets around it.

The AI isn't yet smart enough to figure out hey, all those planets are undefended, maybe I should split my forces to take them. Smiley  Maybe it'll get there next time I look at improving it.

I think this map is good with  human players, and better with 5 human and none AI. I have played some games with 5 player and all games where different and dense of strategy.
