Heya Inventive Dingo, registered just to quickly say what an awesome game this is. It's like an arcadish mix between MOO2 and chess, and I love it. I think the game needs more publicity though. Try Gametunel and Manifesto Games. Good luck, hope to see indie publishers like yourself who make fun games and take risks succeed!

Thanks for the compliment! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

Agreed about the publicity. Hopefully the IGF will help with that a little. Smiley

Mayhem Intergalactic has just been named as a finalist in the 10th Annual Independent Games Festival Student Competition. Inventive Dingo, or a chosen representative, will be demonstrating the game on the exhibition floor of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco in February. Swing by the Student Showcase at the IGF Pavillion and say hi if you're going!

Awesome! MIG certainly deserves to land a spot among the finalists, but that again depends on the judges, since I don't really have much of a taste for most other games in the finals

Whoa, had no idea you guys are made up of a student group btw...

Heh. "You guys" is just me, and yes, I'm a third-year university student. On the plus side, that means I get to enter these kinds of competitions... the bad thing is all those pesky lectures getting in the way of game development! Grin

I know how it's like. RL sucks, but hey you're doing an excellent job for a 1-man team. I think the indie community needs more of such games - simple rules, complex strategies/gameplay, lots of content
