Convoys and fleets and collective nouns, oh my!

This is totally trivial, but it's been nagging at me...

When you select a bunch of ships which are en-route somewhere, the name given to the group on the sidebar is "Convoy". It occurs to me that this is not a very good name; knowing this, I've deliberately avoided using it elsewhere. Instead, I've just referred to "ships". But it still bothers me a little.

With that in mind, should I change the word used? Would "fleet" be better? Or should I break out the thesaurus and go for words like "squadron", or "flotilla"? Then again, perhaps simply using the good old plural noun "ships" would suffice.

Fleet is good based on the number of ships being sent.  Convoy is good for describing ships moved by the rally point though.  (i don't know why a theasarus is required for squadron, but that sends the image of a small number of ships, and really doesn't fit when your attacking with 800-1000 a turn)

Because I didn't think of "squadron" until I looked in the thesaurus.

I hadn't considered giving them different names depending on their size. That's not a bad idea.

Fleet seems to be winning in the overall naming stakes at the moment!
