Thanks for your input everyone, you've made some good points.

I'd love to know the story behind the "Am I talking to Miranda now?" Achievement.  That has to be some sort of Easter Egg, especially since there is a Miranda on the board here.  Wink

The latter is an amusing coincidence. Go watch Serenity (the movie), then you'll understand. Smiley

But also make an achievement that one can only get by using a cheat code in a game.  Smiley

Don't think I'll be doing that... cheats should be strictly optional, in my opinion, and using one is hardly an achievement.

Speaking of which, what does that list look like so far, Chris? Seems like you've been getting a lot suggestions Tongue .

221 entries and counting. That includes everything from bugs and tweaks right up to highly significant features.

When you consider that the most recent version took just over 4 months to arrive and had 21 feature additions/changes and bug fixes listed (besides introducing one or two bugs of its own, including dozens which were created and then squashed during development), that gives you an idea of how long it would take to implement everything...  Tongue

Of course, by the time I got there the list would have grown again. No creation is ever truly finished. Smiley

Can I change my name to Mr. Universe? I want to marry a robot. Serenity =  Great Movie

By the way, that reminded to put my standard quote in my signature box.  Cool

I just played the game in quick game mode and I just randomly took over a planet called "Miranda" and got an achevement for it after the game I looked at my achevements and though maybe "Miranda" is the name of the creator of the game, Boy was a wrong. XD As for cheating? I'm against it, Why? I never cheat, Cheating's useless, Although if you can make it so you cant collect achevements via cheating and you cant use cheats in multiplayer, then sure.. Put cheats in, although since around mid 2007 I've never entered a cheat code or done anything simular unless it was for testing purposes or in GMod, So I'll never use them.

... If cheats are added, I will refuse to play until iddqd is included.

More seriously, While they do add a little replay value, I would recomend requiring a certian number of achievements completed before they're availiable.  Also, I would think theres some more pressing issues on that list, primarily in bug fixes, whispering and cease fire/alliance systems online.

A bit of a late reply, but I wanted to say that I too, consider whether a game has cheats or not when making a purchase. Although, for me, this does not apply to every game. Generally, if I'm buying an FPS, I tend to purchase the ones that have cheats or the likelyhood of a trainer and tend to avoid those that don't. The reason being that I buy games for enjoyment, not frustration. And there's no point in buying a game if I know I'm not going to be able to complete it. In that respect, having cheats in a single player game is very helpful.

However, I do not feel that Mayhem Intergalactica needs any cheats -- epsecially in single player -- unless those cheats are to help make the game harder. I'm not a brillant games player, but even for me, this game was a little too easy in respect to the AI (on highest settings). So the ability to make the game more challenging -- not less -- would be nice.

Thanks for your input. Improved AI is actually one of the first "big" feature requests that I'd like to get to (bug fixes and some of the smaller, easier features take priority though), so you might get your wish directly instead of having to "cheat" your way to it. Smiley

Hm, too easy? I'll put that on the list of maps. I'm feeling so evil right now...
