1  Mayhem Intergalactic / General Mayhem / Now this is really interesting on: September 08, 2009, 02:55:04 pm
On September 3 I unlocked the Maestro of Multiplayer Mayhem achievement, finally completing all the achievements. I posted a blog announcing that fact, linking to Giant Bomb's page for that achievement.

Then on September 7, Jeff Gerstmann posted the list of most popular achievement pages on Giant Bomb for the week of August 29 - September 4. Take a look at the first list. Does anything seem unusual about it? Wink

Yes, that's Mayhem Intergalactic in the tenth position. It seems the blog I wrote on September 3 drove enough people to Mayhem Intergalactic's achievement pages to put it on the top 10 list for a week, even though the blog was only there for less than two days. I'm a powerful blogger, apparently.

Now, I'd be interested in seeing whether its presence on the week's top 10 list will be enough to generate some additional interest in the game, and maybe cause an increase in sales, or at least get the game's current owners to play it a bit more.

Hey there! It's LordAndrew. You may recognize me from Giant Bomb. I'm the only person there who ever talks about this game.  Sad

I'm a 22 year old Canadian guy, currently on break from college. I've found myself with a fair amount of free time, so I've been playing Mayhem Intergalactic a fair bit lately. Mostly because I wanted my monocled alien.  Grin I finally got that last achievement a couple days ago, but I don't actually think I'm ready to stop just yet. I recently played a few rounds of multiplayer against another human player, which I enjoyed. I thought I would never be able to do that, so it was certainly a pleasant surprise.  Smiley

I'll keep playing every so often, and hopefully I'll be able to play some more games against other players. I might also experiment with creating custom maps, and see if I can create something that doesn't totally suck.  Cheesy
