well, it's been a week and i didn't get to play with anyone else Sad not to mention no interest was expressed  Angry

seems that those times are not too good for most ppl and i've been unexpectedly busy for some of the times mentioned. sorry if you logged on at one of those times and didn't see me.

anyway, i don't think i'll be doing this again as the workload is beginning to pick up at uni. although if you're willing to host, i'll join you whenever i can.

bye Smiley

hey, thanks for the quick reply...hope the update will be out soon Smiley

but before then, i hope you can squeeze in two minor changes:
* a way to turn off chat in single player (unless you want to give us some cheats or console commands Wink)
* and make the text logs fade faster as they clutter up the screen when you skip the (numerous) ship movements with spacebar

when i have time, i'll play another epic battle and send you the savefiles, which will mostlikely be this weekend Cheesy

so... no one wants to play with other ppl ?  Sad

it's probably too hard to set up games on forums anyway...
maybe we should have a server on all the time Wink

still worth a try though, so here's my timezone:

GMT+10 or the forum time +17 hours offset
(all time posted will be in that timezone)

for the next week (6th to 10th):
on all weekdays, i'll have a server up at 8:30pm and i'll wait 10mins for someone to join
thursday though, at 12:30pm, 4:00pm, (and at 8:30pm) with the usual 10 mins wait

-----------------------------

if i'm not hosting then, my apologies, something more important probably came up.
if you're online before me, feel free to host as you get to make the map Wink

note that this is for the next week only. if it's successful, i'll consider repeating this.

see you online (hopefully  Cheesy)

5  Mayhem Intergalactic / Features & Bugs / a few bugs and some suggestions on: August 04, 2007, 01:26:57 pm
hey, great little game you have here. been playing it everyday since i've got it.

found 2 minor bugs though:
once a planet is upgraded, it can't be upgraded the next turn, but if you accidentally try to upgrade it, the 'Upgrade' button fades and the 'Upgrade' option isn't available for all planets. However, clicking the faded 'Upgrade' button on upgradable planets still allows upgrades !

and in saving the game, it doesn't save the rally points of the planets !

----------------------------------------

also, there are a few bugs that i can't seem to always reproduce everytime:
the situation: big map; numerous planets; many movements;
at the move execution: repeatedly hitting the spacebar (at a fast rate) to skip all the action and at the end of the move execution, it sometimes gives the error of 2 ships orbiting one planet, but nothing seems to be a problem.
also, mashing the spacebar at move execution skipped a ship movement once for me... probably cos i'm mashing the spacebar  Grin

----------------------------------------

anyway, a few features i'd like to see:
* right-click and hold on mouse allows movement of map (makes navigating the planets faster)
* a dialog box showing how many turns it will take to move the ships to a planet after deciding the movement
* an option to skip all battle scenes (in the battle, not in the options)
* save the preferences for the map in custom game (hate having to set everything for a small variation of the previous game)

----------------------------------------

all i have right now. i hope it's all clear  Smiley

great game once again  Smiley
