Title: Re: Milky way modified 7B Post by: Chris on January 19, 2009, 05:07:38 am Definitely some religious themes developing here. ;)
Interesting idea to put some high-production planets out of the way "behind" all the starting locations like that. They're very isolated, which could be both a good thing and a bad thing for anyone wanting to control them... By the way, I checked out all the other maps you just posted as well (even the ones I didn't comment on) and I like what I'm seeing! I'd like to see some game improvements, one can be the victory points. We play 30 min a game, so at the end of the game the winner can be the highest score. The score : 200 X (#planets number) + #Ship owned + 4 x (#ships destroyed) + 2 x (#total ships production) Title: Re: Milky way modified 7B Post by: Chris on January 19, 2009, 11:10:49 pm Making the victory scoring more complex certainly might be a worthwhile improvement. Is there a particular rationale for using that specific formula?
Title: Re: Milky way modified 7B Post by: Prez on January 20, 2009, 12:54:35 am For a 30min game usually a winner has about :30 planets 1500 ships 400 destroyed 600 tot production
the multipliers are to make the points near 1500\ 2000 each category. Also if first to begin the game you gave to a player the possibility to sets his strategy with double (x2) or (1\2)half heach category. IE: a player has 8 points to sets the 4 category. Giving 2 (STD) points to #planets number he will obtain std 200x#planets number, giving 1 point he will obtain alved points 100X#planet numbers . giving 3 points he will obtain 300x#planet numbers and 4 points he will obtains 400x#planet numbers. and so on for each category. Title: Re: Milky way modified 7B Post by: Chris on January 20, 2009, 02:34:42 am That might be a little too complicated. :) I think it would be difficult for people to figure out who is in the lead, especially since some of that information is not easily visible (like ships owned and ships destroyed).
